
Our New Leasing Incentative Program!
Suburban Horses is proud to offer our new leasing incentative program. We hope this will allow fellow horses owners the use of a horse, while not tacking on a large horse purchase!
Types of Leases:
- Show Horse Leases
- Trail Horse Leases
- 4H Training Program Leases
Expenses
- All Leases are on farm leases.
- All Leased horses have a non-refundable monthly security deposit(will be included in lease payment).
- Leasees must pay all boarding, farrier, and vet expenses during lease, which may include current year coggins. They will be factored into on farm lease payments
Things NOT included in monthly payments
- Any chiropractic, massage, extra supplements
- Actual cost mileage to shows
- Show saddles & show clothes(a training saddle will be provided, along with smaller show supplies)
- Lessons (I will be happy to give supervised rides but they are not to be confused with lessons.)
Care
- All leased will come with barn clothing. This will include winter turnouts, sheets, and summer fly material.
- No horses maybe subleased, or shared. People not on the lease must sign consent form before riding leased horse.
- All leased horses will be kept in stall or private paddock boarding situations only.
- All riding equipment on horse must be agreed upon between owner and leasee to ensure horses comfort.
Other Information:
- All Leased horses going out of designated facilities must have front shoes. Examples being: Horse Shows, Trail rides, etc.
- Lessons or supervised riding must be taken until both leasee and owner feel leasee is capable of unsupervised riding. Depending on assesed skill level additional supervised rides must be:
- Beginner Riders/4H Training Programs: 4 times a month
- Intermediate Riders: 2 times a month
- Advanced Riders: Not Required, after a few supervised rides in the first month.
Incentatives:
- Leases can begin at anytime, fees must be paid at beginning of each month.
- Leasee has first right to buy horse, if offered for sale.
- Leased horse may be offered for sale at anytime. If sold horses to third party, horse will not change ownership till after Champ Show and/or State 4H show.
- If horse sells DURING lease time, all leasee's will split a 10% commission of sale price.
All leasees will have to fill out contracts, and minors will have to have parental consent and signatures on contracts. We will be able to help you learn as much as you want!
